Seize the moment, rev up your mind and put on those thinking caps. Use the opportunity to do as you normally would not. What is normal anyway? It is these norms that put us in boxes and we fail to spread our wings. It is these norms that instill fear and or doubt in most of us. Forget about cooking and cleaning, take a moment and think about that thing that you have been wanting to do but the negative voice tells you otherwise. Dare to go against that negative voice. Or better yet discover your talents, there are a lot of people who haven’t discovered that yet.
It doesn’t always have to be what you always wanted or your talents. Go ahead and learn new things, push and dare yourself to do the “extraordinary”. Avoid comfort zone, by all means necessary, because it will never provide you with challenges and it won’t allow you to see what you are capable of. The reason behind this is to push beyond what you think or believe you are capable of. The majority of us have no smallest idea of what we are capable of if we are pushed to the limit. At times we know yet we are not brave enough to take the first step.
We are forever caught up in our 9 to 5 and never give enough thought to other things. Now is the time to leave alone the WhatsApp messages and all social media videos and stories that only instill fear, doubt and no hope for a great future. Forget sitting in front of the TV, eating everything & anything you come across all day every day. Time to reflect is now, ask yourself questions and do serious introspection. This pandemic should be a perfect reminder that life is too short and anyone would be lucky enough to make it alive. Here are some of the questions you can ask yourself
▪What am I passionate about?
▪Am I where I want to be in life?
▪If not what stopped you or what went wrong?
▪What have I been putting off?
▪If its time I didn’t have due to work; well now I have all the time I never had, so what’s your excuse?
▪Do I lack discipline and keep procrastinating for no valid reason?
▪Have I done enough or relevant research with what I always wanted to do?
▪Or do I still need some personal growth to accomplish my dreams?
▪Am I making excuses, if so why? look deeply into that
Check out some info that might be helpful on how to win the battle on this related article, There are a lot more relevant questions you can ask yourself based on your personal journey. Our journeys are not the same so the personal questions will vary accordingly. I hope the examples given will bring some light as to where to start. These questions are absolutely necessary and worth it. Should your mind be on lockdown as well here are some of the suggestions that might push you in the right direction.
•Develop goal-driven habits
•Be an online teacher, whatever you are good at and can be any school subject, language locally & internationally or other passions you have
•Do public speaking and your family is the great first audience.
•Be a specialist with the skill you already have.
•Innovate new and fresh ideas and sell them to companies
•For more ideas visit
These are only a few to help you realize that anything is possible and a small idea or the simplest thing can turn out to be huge. Before you embark on this journey start by convincing yourself that failure is merely another opportunity. Convince yourself, fake it if you have to & do absolutely anything that will certainly make you believe failure is not the end but the beginning of new, hidden & missed opportunities.
Excuses are endless and procrastination will firmly make you believe you have a tomorrow on a daily. When you procrastinate you make a bad decision and an easy way out. The two are the results of fear and fear will destroy and stand in the way of our achievements, goals & dreams. Let’s not allow it to dictate our decisions and the future thereof. An opportunity has knocked on your door, what are you gonna do about it? Don’t be selfish the world is waiting for that life-changing potential!!! I ask again, what’s your excuse? Do you think you are incapable? Ooh well the only way to find out is to take action
