INGREDIENTS
3 cups cubed & steamed beets
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
METHOD
Preparing beets: peel your beetroot and cut it into cubes or slice them, cut them to your preference. Place them in a pot over small boiling water, cover and steam with high heat for 10-15min or until tender.
Mix brown sugar, orange juice, butter, ground pepper and salt in a large saucepan
Over medium heat, cook until butter and sugar melt and begin to bubble
Add your cut beetroot and cook until the mixture dissolves and the beetroot is coated with the glaze,
6-8min and serve hot or warm.
